Programmes That We Offer
Recently we have run Taster Saturdays in
Wellsford, Hamilton, Palmerston North and Masterton. We have contact people for
each of those regions so email living.waters@xtra.co.nz
if you want details.
If you would be interested in bringing a
Taster to your town, let us know and we will outline the procedure.
A safe
place for hurting people.
“Where can I go to share my pain and struggle? Will anyone
listen to me? How can I overcome my struggle? I’m alone, and afraid to tell
anyone what’s really in my heart.”
Such thoughts and questions plague many Christians.
The Living Waters discipleship and prayer ministry addresses the roots of these
relational, emotional and sexual issues (such as abuse, same-sex attraction,
pornography, marital problems, addictions and co-dependency) which trap
believers in unhealthy living.
Through weekly times of worship, teaching and small
group prayer, the programme’s leaders walk with participants in their struggle
so they can live in freedom and truth. The leaders also pray for God’s healing
to restore the broken areas of life so that people can love according to His
intentions. (A confidentiality policy and closed-group format ensures trust and
safety in the small groups.)
Who's it for?
Anyone can enrol in the 25 to 30-week Living Waters
programme, particularly those who are willing to embrace the truth of their
current situation, be open with others about their life, and deepen their
relationship with Jesus.
What’s involved?
Participants apply and may be interviewed prior to
their enrolment in the programme. On the first evening the participants receive
a manual, which includes these and other topics:
More and more, men and women have been lured into addictive
activities, such as pornography, sexual fantasy and illicit relationships. Once
ensnared there, they become sexual addicts.
Who’s it for?
Aimed at both men and women, the programme welcomes
anyone who believes they are sexually addicted, and wants to be released from
their addiction. Prior to enrolling in the SALT programme, participants are
normally asked to complete the 26 to 30 week Living Waters programme.
What's involved?
Through 20 lessons, this programme addresses the
addictive cycle, and how one can be free from its grasp. The guidebook looks at
the following topics:
Getting Started.
If there is no SALT programme running in your town, it
may be possible to purchase
a manual “Falling Forward”
and go through it with others/someone who will pray with you and keep you
accountable on your healing journey.

A short course on healing.
“Whoever is thirsty, let him come; and whoever wishes,
let him take the free gift of the water of life”
(Revelation 22:17).
Cross Current provides a spring of water for thirsty
souls. As an open, Christ-centred support group, Cross Current helps people grapple
with the truth of their sexuality and relationships. The eight-week programme
is available to anyone who wants to begin the healing journey.
Who’s it for?
As an introductory discipleship programme, Cross
Current is available to anyone who is open to the healing ministry of the Holy
Spirit, desires meaningful relationships with men and women, and is willing to
be honest with others about the broken areas of their life.
What’s involved?
The eight weeks of Cross Current give an overview of the
larger Living Waters programme. Topics for each evening include:
The programme consists of eight teaching sessions led by someone who
is a recognised leader in the Living Waters ministry.
